The hurricane is scarier than the haunted house

I was going to run a haunted house this year in the warehouse where I work.  I had grand schemes for a swamp, forest, cemetery and crypt.  I had a crew of people lined up to help me last night and tonight for setup.  However, work was cancelled yesterday due to the hurricane so we missed the first night of setup.  Several of my setup crew for tonight are not here.  There is just no way I'm going to ask a skeleton crew to do essentially four times the work.  We'd be here until 5:00 in the morning and I know from experience how painful that is.

So alas, there will be no haunted house here tomorrow.  :'-(

Last year my haunted house got scrapped part way through because of a blizzard.  This year is being called on account of a mega-hurricane.  I think I should cancel next year now because I don't want to see how Mother Nature escalates things to stop me next.

Sad!!! :( :( :(

Well, you should definitely keep all the good ideas for next year. I love just seeing the pics and reading about your haunted houses! Mother nature should stop messing with something so clearly awesome.

Sad. I know how much you love haunted houses. As for next year... Maybe she is done screwing with us.

It took a freak blizzard to shut me down last year. It took a mega-hurricane this year. Do you really want to risk seeing what she'll do next year if I don't give up?

I am kind of a "bring it on cupcake" person at times. But I see your point, also I cannot imagine the financial cost of props... Best not waste them.
