Weekend for just me (more or less)

Monique went to Foxwoods with her mom and three sisters for the whole weekend, so I had pretty much the whole thing to myself. I say pretty much because they didn't leave until Saturday morning but they left early.
I spent the whole weekend doing pretty much what I wanted to do, with the exception of one chore, doing the laundry. I also did a little supervision of my darling son Chris as he did some chores around the house to earn money. Yeah, knowing how he does laundry, my laundry is not on his chore list.
I got back into 7V logistics, which I had been ignoring for a while. I didn't finish everything, but once I get going again I easily build up momentum and will probably catch up on everything this week. 7V players, prepare for an onslaught of update emails.
I worked more on learning the tenor part for Beth and Paul's wedding. It's a bit more challenging than the bass part I had orginally learned and there are points where it's testing my range. Fortunately we're singing it a minor third lower than the original key or this would not be happening. I'm a baritone, not a tenor, but the key change puts it pretty squarely in my range.
I "finished" a piece for Madrigal. Finished is in quotes because I'm done writing it, but one can't really call it finished because if I finish it, it won't meet it's purpose. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out, though after listening to it played back to me over the course of a few hours as I was inputting it, it may be me that it drives insane.
I started a piece for 7V plot purposes. I can't go into that here, but that was fun.
I spent a little time playing the piano just because, no ulterior motive, no plot purposes, not writing anything, just playing for the love of it. I don't do that nearly enough these days.
I spent a little time IMing with a couple of friends, one of them doing a bit of roleplay as Zephyr. That was unfortunately shorter than I'd have liked.
I finished putting the last of my Halloween stuff into plastic bins, well, what fits in bins anyway and packing it all away. It actually takes up a lot less room when I pack it than when my son had originally packed it, it's better organized and the more fragile stuff is better layed out to be protected. Now if only I'd had time to get all the LARP stuff reorganized and put away too so that my basement would be back in order. Oh well, I still have a couple of weeks before I'll need it for a load of house guests.
I played some Angry Birds, finished off the original version, 3 stars on every single one and started on the Rio version. Yes, even I spend a little time on worthless games every now and again.
Of course Sasha demanded attention several times over the course of the weekend, so being the boss of the house (her, not me), she got it. That cat has me wrapped around her little paw.
And to make it an even better weekend, I was really good with my food intake too and lost a couple pounds in spite of it being a weekend. All things considered it was a pretty awesome weekend. I need "me" weekends every now and again.
