What a busy weekend.  I went into it with a 'to do' list of about a dozen items.  I managed to get exactly... ummmm, half of one of them done. The problem is that while I had my own 'to do' list, I neglected to account for the lengthy 'honey do' list, which as all good husbands know takes priority over any silly list of things they want to get done.  ;-)

On the bright side, we did manage to sleep in both days so I won't be starting off the week totally exhausted.  Happy Monday everyone!  :-)

One week from now and 7V will be all over.  It's been a heck of a ride and a lot of it has been fun, but I'll be glad when it's over.

This weekend saw more time spent on the house renovation project, though most of it (for me anyway) was on restoring order and cleaning in areas that were already done.  Man, the dust from drywalling gets into everything.  What a pain in the butt.

Amidst trying to get that done I just had to finish 7V update work if I was going to meet the schedule.  I managed to pull that off by staying up late Saturday night.

Sunday we had a wedding for someone at Monique's work and then flute choir rehearsal last night with half a football game sandwiched in between there which I half watched while I finished the half-assed job of a Madrigal PEL I ended up submitting.  I didn't even reread it before submitting it.  Sorry Madrigal staff.

So tired.  I wish Marlin had Columbus Day off too.

Things are looking good.
- It's Friday.  Work Hell is almost done!  Yay!
- I finished the character creation portion of the 7 Virtues database last night.  It accurately tracks race expenditure, headers (including pre-reqs and exclusions), skills (same as headers *and* the wonky 2:1 CP expenditure ratio for core skills).  Now all I have to do is get it to spit out the HTML code for the character pages, but worse case that should be a couple of hours.  Printing out character cards will be a snap.  Reports on the wiki site for staff each event will be a breeze.
- House is clean and laundry is done.  This is good because...
- Monique comes home tonight after a week in MD for work.  YAY!
- Off to Nashua tomorrow to see parents
- Couples' massages, facials and jacuzzi at the hotel spa (shhhh! It's a secret.  Monique doesn't know, but she doesn't read LJ anyway.  "Massive waste of time!")
- [livejournal.com profile] thedeviantangel  's wedding... oh, and [livejournal.com profile] silway  's too.  ;-)
- Hang out time with friends at wedding and reception

Promises to be a good weekend.

Short version because I'm so far behind, but we're having server issues that are keeping me from my regular work, so in a nutshell.

Saturday afternoon Monique and I drove to Martha's Vineyard, took the ferry over, went out to dinner with silverhare, browstein, browstein's brother and his lady friend Cortney, which was just delightful.  We picked up burkefireguy and his lovely lady when they came off the ferry and then went to a party for friends of the bride and groom.  Monique was not quite so thrilled with the last part as it turned to lots of LARP talk, but I had a lot of fun.

Sunday we went out and had breakfast with burkefireguy and then went and toured the island.  It's really quite a lovely place, beautiful scenery.  I dropped everyone off to get ready and went out to rehearse with the bride for the surprise song she had me write for the groom.  The wedding itself was beautiful.  The setting was awesome.  The ceremony was very emotional and there were many moist eyes, though being the stoic I am, I was immune to such things.  Yeah, it was my allergies acting up, that's it.  ;-)

The reception was a good time spent conversing with good friends.  The food was good.  We left just after the dancing because Monique needed to go out for food that was on her new diet (which is going great) and because it was getting late and we had to catch the 7:00 ferry the next day.  We did get her the lobster she wanted and enjoyed a nice, quiet conversation with Josh and Mary who joined us for this.

The ride back Monday morning was a nightmare.  There was construction on 195 in RI.  It took us over two hours to traverse a two mile stretch of road.  I worked late last night to make up for it because I didn't get into work until almost 12:30.  Oh well, the weekend was a blast and well worth it.  Beside seeing two of my dearest friends get married and spending lots of quality time with other dear friends, I had a whole relaxing weekend with Monique (who is leaving me today for 10 days for a work trip).

Hmmmm, that was a bigger nutshell than I thought it was going to be.
