Totally fried but very happy
Aug. 28th, 2007 08:06 amI went to NERO this weekend and had so much fun, in spite of having 95 degree temperature and high humidity and being dressed in total black from head to toe all weekend.
I made a deal with Monique about two weeks ago to do all the weeding in exchange for this past NERO weekend. Shit, have we got a lot of weeds. It took me hours, but it was so worth it.

sans_peur if she'd keep my attendance quiet and she accommodated me by keeping me off the pre-reg list, housing list and food list, so no one knew I was coming. I had my son sneak my stuff into the cabin and I snuck onto the campsite. I hung out in the back of monster camp until game actually started and I came in in-game with a backpack and traveling cloak. This was significant because the character had been away and no one expected to see him at least until October, if ever. The responses were so wonderful and natural because no one knew.
The weekend was just so filled with fun roleplay with people and a couple of cool mods. I personally killed off one of the Black Rose, My inner Jericho was screaming in triumph. Sans_peur asked Mickey G from National if he had any Niman info he could send in through a PC who'd been there recently and he gave me the coolest info that one of the other PCs actually asked me if I inew anything about. I almost fell off my seat. That was so cool. Mickey is one of my new heroes. Who would have thought such a little thing would have caused such a stir? I got to use my track by scent ability for some very neat stuff which earned me an invitation to join an army as a scout, in addition to the cool roleplay that I was involved in that got me there to begin with. I got an invitation to go stay with Capulus and learn to wield a sword under one of their knights. (10 build for a scholar, ick) But there is an excellent character reason for this and will lead to much cool roleplay as well as some quality time learning how to wield a weapon, in spite of previous attempts where I've failed pretty miserably. So many little personal things with Omi, Brook, Keyla, Kitten, Cadoc, Anwyn, T'Kari, Draco, Aelfric and a host of others. I played my flute on two seperate occasions, neither at my usual times.
Staff will definitely be getting a good PEL from me.
