I woke up last night around midnight with a bad pain in my inner thigh, just below the groin.  I figured it was akin to a charlie horse and so got out of bed to try stretching it.  I fell to the floor in some of the worst pain I can ever remember.  It was so bad I couldn't move.  I tried several times to change position and the pain only got worse.  Staying totally still made the pain almost tolerable.  This went on for about 10 minutes.

Monique tried to get me to move, but there was just no way.  She ended up calling for an ambulance, I'd guess about 5 minutes into this.  Within a couple minutes of her calling for an ambulance, of course the pain started to subside and I was able to get up off the floor and sit on the bed.

During this time, a policeman arrived first.  In an almost comical affair, the poor guy injured his knee getting out of his car.  By the time the ambulance arrived he was in worse shape than I was.  I guess he stepped just wrong getting out of the car and twisted it.  The ambulance arrived and after we talked to the EMT for a few minutes we signed a waiver to have them leave without taking me to the hospital.  We decided that I was ok enough for Monique to take me down and have it checked out.

We got about 2/3 of the way to the hospital when we decided that we'd just wait and see what happened.  We were both so tired neither of us wanted to spend a couple hours in a waiting room.  At that point, I could still feel a little tightness in the muscles, but no pain.  Today, everything seems fine.  I'm thinking it was just a muscular issue, maybe caused by twisting something wrong or something at Madrigal.  I don't know.  It's gone, so I'm not going to worry about it unless it acts up again.

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there.
