Birthday so far

I slept in until 8:30 this morning.  I was expecting 7:00.  It was just wonderul.  I feel pretty rested.

I got this marvelous rendition of Zephyr getting an enthusiastic hug from Sasha.  gianajho  had given this to me yesterday (or the day before, I forget, must be old age) and I figured I'd actually share it on my actual birthday.

And this morning I was a little bummed thinking the year of silverhare  character art for presents and lo and behold, there was another masterpiece of my favorite character ever, that she never even met.



That's Kumir, my LJ namesake for those of you who've ever wondered why kumir_k9.  This just absolutely made my day.  silverhare is the best.

Monique and I have gone to get the car serviced, picked up a bunch of stuff at Home Depot to work around the house, picked up some dry cleaning, did grocery shopping and put up the roof on the canopy on our back porch. 

I'm looking forward to dinner and conversation and/or games tonight with my brother, his girlfriend, my darling wife and her sister from VA.

I am EVEN LATER than Jeremy in wishing you a happy birthday. Congratulations on turning 35. I promise you chats once I see you next, concerning Things Locke Probably Doesn't Want To Talk About But Damn That Blue Face Just Makes Me Want To Spill Secrets.
