Medical update

I went to see the neurologist this morning now that I've had all the tests (blood work, CT scan, MRI, ultrasound of the carotid arteries, echocardiogram (not the EKG I stated earlier)). Everything looks fine. There are no abnormalities on any of the tests, nothing that would cause concern for a future occurrence.
He's more concerned that it may have been seizure related based on the history I gave him. I am skeptical that this is the case. There is nothing to suggest a relationship that he could explain. On the other hand, there is no evidence based on the tests that it's a TIA either. What it comes down to is that I will continue taking an aspirin a day. He wants an EEG (which will happen Monday). He wants to see my Depakote levels (more blood work, yay!). If everything is ok there, I'll continue as is and see him again for a follow up visit in six months.
As an interesting side note, he's the first neurologist I've ever visited who didn't make me touch my index finger to my nose and to his finger (repeat while moving), follow his finger with my eyes, stick out my tongue, rub my ankle down my shin, walk on my heels, walk on my toes, walk heel to toe in a straight line, etc. I thought these tests were the reason neurologists existed as a seperate entity from the medical world because until today, that's the only thing they've all had in common, and I've seen a lot of them in my time.
So the bottom line is that I know no more today than I did the day it happened and I'm still feeling fine and I still plan to go ahead with my plan of a better life style.
