What a delightful weekend.  Monique is in Boston for the next three days for a work related conference, so we went up and spent the weekend.  Saturday night, at the recommendation of several friends, we went to see Shear Madness.  This was magnificent.  It's an interactive murder mystery comedy.  It's been playing for over 30 years, but the humor is current and ever changing.  For instance, at a couple of minutes before 6:00, one of the detectives said, "Turn the clock back a few mintues or we won't have time to finish solving this!", a clear reference to the Rapture that was supposed to happen.

The venue was great, small and intimate, maybe 100 people.  There was a bar so you could have drinks at your table while enjoying the show.  There is literally no bad seat in this theatre.  The acting was superb.  The improvisational skills of the actors was just amazing.  This was a phenomenal show.  If you can't guess, I would highly recommend it.  Tickets are $100, but if you have AAA discounts you can get them for $70.  Well worth every penny.

Before the show we ate at Legal Seafood.  We stayed at the Long Wharf Marriott, grossly overpriced for product, but since that's where the company is that's sponsoring this conference Monique will be at and since I was leaving her without a car, she wanted to stay at the same place.

Sunday morning was slow and lazy and then I headed out to the 7V Academic Day where I got to play my fuzzy headmaster for 5 hours of wonderful roleplay.  My goodness I've never seen 5 hours fly so fast.  What a good time.  Thanks to all the players that put this on and made it happen.  I could have used a few more hours.  There were people I didn't even know where there until afterwards and I definitely rushed some encounters that needed more time.

I was supposed to meet some friends after for a birthday dinner, but they were wiped out from Volta, I couldn't get out of 7V as early as I hoped and frankly, by the time I did get out and get home I was pretty wiped out too.

All in all, a great birthday weekend.  And now to the real birthday and the present from my employer, the opportunity to have a fun, exciting and productive day of work.  :-p

Thank you. Glad you enjoyed our chat. I know I do.

Be well yourself. Or maybe *get* well would be a better way of putting it.
