Good Monique news

kumir_k9While Monique will need daily IV for the next 4 -6 weeks, because of the PICC line she can do it herself. The visiting nurses will only be coming about once a week. This means she is not tied down and we can proceed with plans as scheduled. We just have to make sure we can keep her medicine refrigerated.
Thanks to all for prayers, well wishes, offers and good thoughts. They have been much appreciated.
We have been in Providence since yesterday in preparation for a wedding. I will be singing with several other friends of the bride and groom. Yesterday was a somewhat long rehearsal out in the sun. I was drained. Monique and I went to the hotel after so she could rest. She is tiring easily right now and had come with me. I laid down too and fell asleep. We woke up well after the start time of party for the wedding party. Oops. Like I said, I was drained. I think dehydrated too because I woke up during the night with a headache that went away with lots of water.
I'm better this morning after ten hour sleep, plus that nap and still drinking lots. I will be a lot more careful today at the actual ceremony.

Unfortunately (for me) we needed tenors more than we needed basses. Also unfortunately for me, I'm not really a tenor, more like a low baritone, so this was a bit of stretch. Fortunately for me, we were also short of high sopranos, so we dropped the piece by a minor third making it possible for me.
And I always take care... sometimes... except for maybe when I don't. ;-) That's what my friends are for.
