For those who celebrate Easter...
Apr. 8th, 2007 09:39 amHappy Easter! For those of you who don't celebrate Easter, Happy Sunday April 8th! There's a theme there in case you missed it. :-)
It's been a wonderful weekend thus far. My company always lets us out at 3 on the day before a holiday and they give us Good Friday off, being a good Catholic run company, so if you do the logic, that means I've been out of work since 3 on Thursday. Monique and I came up to Nashua Thursday night and have been spending a (more or less) relaxing weekend in NH. We went out for a really good chinese dinner in Nashua and then watched Charlotte's Web in the hotel after we settled in.
Friday we went out to breakfast with Randy and Quinn (after sleeping in). Quinn's not much on conversation, but Randy makes up for it and we had a wonderful time. Then we went to visit with my mom for a couple hours to give her some alone time. Then we did a repeat performance with my dad, though we took him out to lunch at a seafood restaurant and took him out shopping for our visit. Friday night, Monique and I watched Music and Lyrics with Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore, a really amusing comedy / love story.
Saturday we did a bunch of shopping, and then went back to the hotel room to relax. We both did some reading. Monique took a nap while I revamped my Madrigal character with some rules changes and new CP and then I worked towards completing Kumir's IG journal for completing an IG promise. We grabbed dinner at Pizza Hut and went to the bardic. This was wonderful fun. Many people performed fine poetry and music. It's always amazing to me to see the variety and depth of talent there. I performed a trio of Morrison's Jig / Riddle-de-diddle-de-ay / Galway Piper. A little later, JJ and I did a duet of Hunting the Hare. I admire her courage picking a song that pushed her ability instead of settling for one of the easier, more comfortable songs and she did a fine job of it. I love her enthusiasm. It's one of the reasons she's my favorite duet partner.
Today we went out with my mom, Randy, Bren and Chris for Easter. My dad unfortunately developed pneumonia and was rushed to the hospital where he's been admitted. We finished our long weekend with a visit to him and then headed home. A lovely weekend... again. I could get used to this.
