Brief update

I've been out of touch for a few days.  I spent two days in bed sick, whch for me is totally abnormal.  It generally takes wild horses dragging me home to stay there sick, even for one day.  Maybe I'm just getting old.  I didn't even lose sleep over all the work I wasn't getting done, and that with this being the last week before vacation.

Yes, next week, Monique and I will be in sunny FL.  At least, it had better be sunny.  I want nice weather damn it and I don't think it's too much to ask.  We've had a long hard run and we deserve this break to be perfect.

I feel really badly.  I think Monique caught what I still have.  This is especially bad because it involves lots of coughing and she doesn't have much in the way of abdominal muscles, so coughing is especially hard on her.

My dad is doing better after his massive stroke.  It is still going to be a very long, hard, painful struggle for him.  Nothing is guaranteed, but he's working very hard at all the therapy.  Prayers and thoughts much appreciated on this front.  The bro is getting the brunt of it being the one up there and I feel really bad for him.  I wish I was closer to share the load.

That's it in a nutshell.  Must get back to work.  That's another huge stress factor.
