Pretty darned good day...
Oct. 9th, 2008 08:13 pmto make up for some of the recent awful ones.
First, I bought an electric heater last night and it only went down to 55 outside. Between those two things, I didn't get up to a freezing house this morning. Let me tell you, that makes a huge difference right there.
Then I got a butt load of work done today. By the end of the day I was actually reading today's emails. It's been a while since that happened. And because we've had a few days break from the ERP project, I've been able to plow through a lot of back processing work. I've got my main regular function completely caught up today. And that was in addition to handling several customer and salemen issues and spending 2 1/2 hours in with one of the ERP consultants and my order entry project counterpart working our way through a pretty brutal scenario.
The electrician came today and fixed the problem with our furnace and it only cost $140. So the house is back to normal tonight. Yay!
Now if only Monique were back from her week long vacation, things would be just about perfect for one day.
