Weekend highlights
- New characters - Raphael, Ruakhi and Sibitheus - I'm sure I'm brutalizing at least two of those three names. Why am I totally spacing on other new characters? There must have been some.
- I am *not* a book. Talk about a running gag.
- The Guide and the Guardian in their new sanctum
- Setting a spirit to rest by singing to it by channeling the spirit of the flute because Kumir does not sing. Why did *I* get this particular spirit again. Oh, and being a ninja to get out to said spirit and back without getting hit.
- Quiet time at Wyv's grove. Only took me a year to get out there.
- Blocking a shot meant for Lloric and getting cheers - Kumir is not a fighter, he's a healer, no, really, even if people call for a healer while standing right behind me. Kumir needs better PR. *sigh*
- Dirt naps at the hands of both Thousand Roads and Omi and the wonderful RP that went with both
- Speaking of Omi, getting into her head in a way Kumir didn't know existed. My poor puppy felt so bad for prying. Who knows what evil Rick will put it to? ;-)
- Undead philosophy, especially the follow-up round with Sytri
- Recovering paint brushes from a dead spirit and then watching all the beautiful paintings that came from them the next day. Color blind conversations are also pretty darned awesome
- I hit Rob with claws... before he turned and hit me back. It was brief but fun while it lasted.
- River of death - Oh my goodness that was brutal
- Talking to the ferryman about the new deal... uh, old deal?
- Picking the right time to go to bed... 3 times, but so worth it - Great info dump, great question opportunity, only time I go out topless as Kumir and the only notetaker in the room but because of my topless status, didn't bring a notebook *whines*
And then, there was Sunday night and Monday at the Mangios which was just a wonderful way to cap off a great holiday weekend. That deserves its own separate post. I probably won't get around to it considering how late it is already, but it certainly deserves one. ;-)

Date: 2013-09-04 12:06 pm (UTC)Drawing you and Trixie into the dark, on the road, was a blast. I chose you both because the roleplaying would be awesome- you didn't disappoint. It was also fitting and excellent that you cornered him and did him in.
Colorblind conversation was fun to listen to; another excellent sign of character control.
Kumir's one of my favorite PCs to wander around with. Sorry we didn't get more wander-time. Next march, hopefully!

Date: 2013-09-05 12:57 am (UTC)Thousand Roads continues to be one of my favorite PCs. If I had to name a top 5 list, he'd be on it. Our philosophical discussions are always the best. The roleplay is top notch. I love to watch you fight. Your flair for the dramatic is inspiring. Your double four damage was... ok, I should have quit while I was ahead. :-p
The scene with Trixie was so much fun. I was pretty sure we were going to be spackled... and we were, but the RP with her was as you predicted awesome. Thank you for bringing me into that.

- The Guide and the Guardian in their new sanctum
That place was so cool...
- Speaking of Omi, getting into her head in a way Kumir didn't know existed. My poor puppy felt so bad for prying. Who knows what evil Rick will put it to? ;-)
Kumir actually made Omi feel better, for once. Why must you ruin it with evil plotting? :-P
- Talking to the ferryman about the new deal... uh, old deal?
That was so terrifying. "So there's a deal... it's inactive right now... I won't tell you what it entails, only that it was made between the shattered lord and us... do you want to reactivate it?"
didn't bring a notebook *whines*
That was the most forceful I think I've seen Kumir in a while. "Omi! Notebook, now!"

Date: 2013-09-04 01:27 pm (UTC)I didn't say I would... exactly.

Kumir was already asleep. Rick wanted to sleep too. I think there may have been a little accidental overlap in that I recognized if I didn't dump everything in my head immediately it would have fallen out overnight. Kumir didn't apologize for his bossy behavior, did he? Damn it, I slipped. :-p
That might also be why the next day Kumir much more gently nudged his mistress to talk to various other people he remembered being there.
Speaking of which, did Omi work things out with Slyth (?) to try and use that lovely recall skill?

Date: 2013-09-04 01:53 pm (UTC)I totally loved all of my Kumir time this weekend. Is necromancy bad? It certainly seems to be inherently lacking the corruption of void in this place. Then why do I still have issue with it? I really have no idea...

Painting time was awesome and holy talented painters, Batman! I could sit and watch other people make art all day.
Colorblind conversations make me happy even if Sytri sees color. She knows EXACTLY how distracting and painful colors can be when you're unused to them! "Perhaps if we figure out who wears these colors we can find the owner of this garment..." "Well Kumir the colors are blue and black and you and I are both wearing that combination..."
