Great Madrigal event

I have to admire the Madrigal plot team. Even with well over 100 PCs at the event, it seemed there was almost always something going on. It was like a smorgasbord. I could see multiple things available to do most of the time and I could choose them or not. Often times I chose "not" for various character reasons, but that's my choice. I hate players that say "Plot didn't have anything for me", when they choose not to get involved in any of it. Plot can't target a gvien character every weekend. You have to make your own choices and fun on occasion.
But over the course of the weekend, I chose to partake in two event where the general standard was, we need at least X people to do something, where X was at least 20. These were wide open to the general populace. There were a couple of these I chose not to do. When these things are that available, how can you say that you were bored and not say it's your own damned fault?
The musical talent of the players at this game amazes me, and they're all such wonderful people as well. I so love practicing, performing and roleplaying with them all. We had a marvelous celebration of the arts on Saturday. I performed in 6 of the pieces. Rowan/Erin asked me to put a flute part to a piece she sent me late last week. I'm so glad I took the time to do it. It was gorgeous. Cassidy/Michelle brought out "Hunting the Hound" which I've done with my "foxy" partner, paganprincess, in NERO a couple times. That's always fun. Taryn/Carol and Nur/jjmarika joined me for a flute trio of "The Three Captains", a duet I'm done with jjmarika numerous times in NERO but which I added an extra part for Thursday night, another last minute addition that came out beautifully. My only regret on the entire fete was that there was a major draw against it at the same time that pulled away several of my friends who wanted to be there and couldn't.
So many good things that I can't possibly mention them all here, so I won't even try for the rest. Fair warning to Madrigal staffers reading this, I *will* mention them all in my PEL, so don't look for a short one. ;-)
And I'm having such a grand time with the character in general. He has not yet replaced longer standing characters in my heart (Jericho, Joval (admittedly an NPC character), Kumir (I think my favorite)), but he is certainly earning a place there along side them.
Speaking of Joval, I'm at that amusing point where people tell me stories about him. These moments are highly entertaining to me.
Back to real life.
