Killilng time in Manchester NH
Feb. 26th, 2012 12:55 pmMonique and I came up to NH yesterday afternoon. We visited with both my mom and dad. We opted to stay in Manchester because Monique has a baby shower there today. In fact, I've dropped her off and now I'm sitting at a Dunkin' Donuts killing a couple of hours waiting for her. I'm going to use the time to do the thing I'm going to post about in a more private post, because, well, for those of you who will see it, you'll understand.
This morning I had a most amusing moment. We went to an IHOP for breakfast. Instead of taking your name, they give you a card with the name of a celebrity, such as Dolly Parton or Peter Pan and they call that. It's a cute gimmick and it gets people talking when they call a celebrity name. On the way out of the restaurant I heard them call "Rick Pierce". My first thought was, "Wait! When did I become a celebrity?" and then realized it was someone calling to me, not using my name to call a party. It was Donna and Becky and it was cool to see them, even if it was only for a very brief hug.
So, one more quick post and then I must work on the subject of that post.
